Recycle Me to Plant A Tree: A Greener Future for Our School

???

We are thrilled to announce our new “Recycle Me to Plant a Tree” initiative at St Angela of the Cross!

Through this exciting project, we’ll be using the funds raised from the Container Deposit Scheme to plant trees on our school grounds. This is a wonderful opportunity for our school community to work together to make our environment greener, healthier, and more sustainable.

How Can You Help?
We are encouraging all families to participate in this initiative by recycling eligible containers. Every container you recycle will contribute to the funds we need to plant trees and enhance our school grounds. The more containers we collect, the more trees we can plant!

Here’s how it works:

  1. Collect eligible containers: Look for bottles, cans, and other containers with the CDS logo.
  2. Drop them off: Bring your containers to the designated recycling bin at the school.
  3. Use our code and recycle your bottles at a CDS collection facility.

This initiative not only helps improve our school grounds, but it also teaches our students about the importance of recycling, sustainability, and environmental care. We’re excited to see our school grow, one tree at a time!

If there are any businesses who would like to contribute and get involved with this sustainable initiative, please contact MrsDavies at mdavies@stangelawarragul.catholic.edu.au

Let’s come together as a community to make a lasting impact on our school and the planet. Together, we can create a greener future!

Thank you for your support, and we can’t wait to see the trees bloom!

Kind Regards,
Michaela Davies | STEM Teacher
