Multiplication
Our St Angela’s Mathematicians have recently commenced a new unit of work on Multiplication. Students have been working so hard whilst learning from home and have been very resourceful and creative whilst exploring different multiplication strategies! Great work everyone!
Homegroup 1
Students in Homegroup 1 have been exploring the concept of ‘groups of’. They have been very busy making groups using objects from around their home. We have been learning how to share items into equal groups so they all have the same number of items in them. Well done Homegroup 1!

Homegroup 2
Students in Homegroup 2 have been exploring the concept of ‘groups of’ and the different ways we can show multiplicative thinking using skip counting, repeated addition, number sentences and arrays. We have been learning all about sharing items to make equal groups and that sometimes groups will not always be equal. Great work Homegroup 2!
Homegroup 3
Homegroup 3 students have been focusing on different ways to show our understanding of multiplication. We have been looking at using groups of objects, repeated addition, number lines, arrays, skip counting and our times tables.
