Visual Arts
Our Term 1 Visual Arts major projects have all been completed and sent home. Students focused on the Visual Arts medium of textiles to create a hanging weaving project.
Home Group M and H created a hanging 'Butterfly' using a figure eight weaving style. They decorated their butterflies with a pipe cleaner and beads.
Home Group B and TP created a 'God's Eye' weave by weaving around a series of sticks. They made tassels to hang off their weaving.
Home Group L worked tirelessly to make a 'Dream Catcher' by weaving over and under a loom they had made on an old CD. They hung feathers and beads off their weaving.
These projects took persistence and patience to complete and all students should be proud of the work they have created. We hope you enjoy hanging this work at home.
This term we will be exploring sculpture by making birds. Students will use a variety of materials and techniques to create their artwork. We look forward to sharing the process with you.
