Homegroup L and TP have been busy learning about and creating their own Jesse Tree. 

The Jesse Tree is a way of preparing for Advent by journeying through the stories of Jesus’ family tree. The students have each created a branch for the tree and a bauble that represent one of the stories. Each day of Advent, we will read a Bible story about someone on Jesus’s family tree and hang an ornament symbolising the story on our Jesse Tree. As we decorate our tree, we’ll learn how God prepared for Jesus to be born through many generations. 

The students also reflected upon how they have gifts within them that they can share with the world. They then wrote about their gifts and placed this description as a ‘gift’ under the Jesse Tree.
