Japanese with Taylor Sensei

USE Japanese for FUN.

楽しんで話します。

USE Japanese. Yes but in what context? Well mostly we are learning Japanese that can be used between students in classroom settings. Which is why last term was focussing on asking for things, passing things and talking about what you have.

Let's USE Japanese for FUN.

We are continuing play based learning this term. Striving to USE Japanese only when we are speaking with each other. Last terms learning about asking for things will be recycled, and adding this term inviting others to play, or asking to play. Then if a student wants to say something, but doesn’t know how to in Japanese then they come to me and work out how to say it in Japanese, then they go and say it. This way Japanese learning is completely directed by what students want to say. Here is a recent example:

Legoをください。

Lego o kudasai.

Lego please.

一緒

Watashi to issho ni?

Me and together with?

(Can I play with you? / Do you want to play with me?)

We will add the verb next week.

What things do you do? Email me to let me know and I will help you make a Japanese way to say it. Especially if it fits the “object - verb” pattern. office@trafalgar.catholic.edu.au
