Principals Message
Dear Parents,
This week St Angela of the Cross is participating in the Bullying No Way: National week of action.
Bullying No Way Week is a commitment being made by thousands of schools and supporters across the country. It provides an opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to bullying prevention. It gives us an opportunity to connect with students, staff and school communities to implement workable solutions to prevent bullying.
The theme for this year’s campaign is Everyone belongs. This theme highlights the importance of creating a sense of belonging and inclusion for students. We recognise bullying often thrives in environments where individuals feel marginalised or excluded, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure that every student feels valued and respected.
Students will be completing activities in their classrooms based on this theme on Friday and there is no dress up requirement however students may wear a touch of orange with their uniform on this day.
Reminders
Medications
If your child requires prescription or non-prescription medication during school hours, it is important that the medication be brought to the office by a parent or guardian. The medication must be signed in and accompanied by a completed Medication Authority Form, available at the office.
All medications will be stored securely in the office to ensure they are administered safely and in accordance with school policy. Thank you for your understanding and support in keeping our school environment safe for everyone.
Extended absences
Where an extended absence is planned in advance (e.g. a family holiday), parents need to obtain permission for that absence from the school Principal. Requests for extended absences should be submitted in writing, and can be emailed to hello@stangelawarragul.catholic.edu.au. Once permission has been granted that correspondence will be treated as notification for the purposes of our attendance records.
